Beautiful Lakeside Gardens Nestled Beneath Barton Fell on the lakeshore

A rare and wonderful quiet place, with incomparable views and peaceful vistas for silent contemplation – or just a sunny spot to read your favourite book.

The 12 acres of gardens at Sharrow Bay in the North Lakes are nestled beneath Barton Fell with beautifully manicured lawns, bountiful flower beds, pretty water features and ornamental ponds.

Ancient garden doors and gates within the yew hedges lead to hidden gardens and secret benches, all with the most magnificent and dramatic vista of the lake.

Wander the gardens and return to the house or terrace for morning coffee

The gardens and lakeside terrace are open daily to non-residents. Wander the gardens and return to the house or terrace for morning coffee, lunch or a light snack, traditional afternoon tea and dinner.

Keep an eye on our Events Calendar for details of forthcoming Garden Tours and Workshops.
