The most popular leisure pastime at Sharrow is simply gazing out across the lake at the stunning Lakeland scenery, as William Wordsworth may have once done while composing the famous romantic poem, Daffodils. You might also like to stroll through the beautiful Lake District countryside that inspired Beatrix Potter to write her ‘little white books’ and explore the set to the new Beatrix Potter film, ‘Miss Potter’ recently released, starring Renee Zellwegger and Ewan Mcgregor.
Beside the house is a private jetty and boathouse and there are 12 acres of gardens and woodlands with half a mile of lake shore where guests may wander at leisure.
