Our cultural heritage matches our exceptional landscapes, from Stately Homes and Border warring castles, (Hadrian’s wall is a half hour drive away). The famous Poets and Authors who have found their inspiration here; Wordsworth’s world famous poem, ‘I wandered lonely as a cloud’ was inspired by Ullswater – he would find very little changed about the valley over 200 years later. From the ancient history of Stone Circles, all the way through to the more recent traces of our industrial and agricultural past.
