We are happy to announce that Sharrow Bay won Hotel Restaurant of the Year, North Region, at the Food Awards England 2016.
This is an award based on nominations from the public, so it means a great deal to us that we were shortlisted, and indeed that we won. On behalf of all the staff at Sharrow Bay, who work so hard to deliver the standards of fine-dining and hospitality that are expected of us – thank you to every one of you that voted for us.
The finalists in the North category were: The Orangery Restaurant at The SPA Hotel – Ribby Hall Village (Preston) Lancaster House (Lancaster) Oak Royal Hotel, Golf & Country Club (Lancashire) The Samling Hotel (Windermere) Burlington Restaurant at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa (Skipton) Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor (Chester) Sharrow Bay Country House Hotel (Penrith) These are all business we hold in high regard, so to have won based purely on having received the most votes is very special. The awards ceremony was held on Monday 24th October, in Manchester; a nail bitingly tense evening with a very happy ending – thank you!
